Karim Shakoor, M.D. is the founder of Colon & Digestive Health Specialists, LLC. He has received board certification in Gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL in 1993 and served as Chief Medical Resident . Cook County Hospital Residency Program is one of the largest Residency Programs in the country. Subsequently, he completed a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Cook County Hospital in 1997. His wife is an Internist, and they have two children. Karim Shakoor, M.D is Fluent in English and Urdu. He enjoys running, table tennis, reading and spending time with his family.
