CDH is a single specialty medical practice, located in Conyers, approx. 20 miles east of downtown Atlanta. Founded in 2000, CDH has served the East Atlanta Area for over 20 years and our physician is highly experienced in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Digestive Diseases.
Our physician is a board-certified Gastroenterologist, specializing in Digestive Diseases and Nutrition. Specific areas of expertise include: Colorectal Cancer Screening and Prevention, Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Esophageal and Swallowing Disorders, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Pancreatic and Biliary Disorders, Liver Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Chronic Constipation.

As a gastroenterologist, Karim Shakoor, M.D performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies including, Upper Endoscopy (EGD), Colonoscopy, and Esophageal Dilation. Karim Shakoor, M.D is on staff with EEC, Eastside Endoscopy Center, the ambulatory surgical center associated with CDH that is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

Karim Shakoor, M.D

Karim Shakoor MD received his medical degree from Sindh Medical College, currently known as Jinnah Sindh Medical University, in Karachi in 1989. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and went on to become Chief Medical Resident in one of the largest residency training programs in the country. He then completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Cook County Hospital, Chicago. In the Conyers and Covington area, Karim Shakoor, M.D has been practicing gastroenterology since 1997.
